I want to thank you all for your kind words, emails, and prayers. We're here in Germany with my mom, dad, and sister. The funeral went well and it was good to be here for it. The funeral was catholic so it raised a lot of questions for the boys. I'm so thankful to be out of these situations for the most part. It is interesting to be back here. There's a lot of fun memories but also several that aren't too happy. I'm definitely more thankful to now be living in the U.S. married to the best guy in the world. That's by far the hardest part right now - being separated from Kyle. The boys and I miss him so much. The saying is so true "You don't know what you have till you leave it." WOW! I'm so much more thankful, in love, and overjoyed to be married to Kyle. It was his birthday 2 days ago and I wish we could've been there to celebrate it with him. God is so good to bless us with this amazing man in our lives. He's a patient, fun, Bible-loving and -teaching father to T&T as well as a thoughtful, considerate, understanding, patient husband to me! I thank God daily for this HUGE blessing in my life. May He make me into a better, more worthy wife for this man.
I'm trying to do school here as well as teach the boys (primarily Timmy) German. It's not that easy....he knows I can speak English so he constantly reverts back to it. Smart children!
The weather's been wonderful - sunny almost everyday and we've done a few fun outings that I used to do when I was a little girl. One of them was an amazing falcon and eagle show. I will try to post pics ASAP. Another special joy has been to visit my old church High Point Baptist Church in Vilseck, Germany. The sermons by Pastor Duane have been so challenging and helpful. You can listen to them on the website. Great preaching! It's a military church pastored by American missionaries. What a reminder to pray for our troops. The majority of the congregation consists of Army wives and their children. My heart just goes out to them. Their husbands are in Iraq anywhere from 12-16 months at a time with a 2 week break in the middle! I'm separated from Kyle right now and it's "only" 6 weeks and I'm whining about it. I cannot even begin to imagine a whole year. Please pray for them. They love the Lord Jesus Christ and are our sisters and brothers in the faith. They face tremendous challenges and difficulties. Pray that the Lord would give them much grace and wisdom in their parenting, faithfulness in their marriages, and peace to know He's in control of their husbands' lives.
Thank you also for praying about my migraines they have gotten better. I still have them but they're not as frequent anymore. Thank you for all the emails and encouraging words! God brought me through it and taught me about complaining and my attitudes in the process. What a mountain to climb. I am so easily persuaded by circumstances and go up and down just as they do. I pray that I will become more focused and steadfast upon the Lord so that I won't be tossed about in these highs and lows.
Thank you again for all your prayers. Please continue to pray that I would be a godly testimony to my family here. Also pray for diligence with the boys and for much grace for all of us as we are separated from Kyle for another month.
