Two wonderful things happened last week! Timmy learned how to read and Hudson smiled for the first time!!! Hudson was 7 weeks old last week and smiled at Kyle as he was saying good-bye to him while he was on his way to work. It was SO cute and I'm so glad it was with Kyle for the first time!!!
I had been practicing sounding out letters for quite a while now (6 months or more) and he just never could put the letters together to make words. Then as I pulled out his "I Learn to Read" Book A once again last week he just did it! His first words were "tub, hat, wet, Jan, cap, man, hen, Tim, cub, pet, egg, bug," and a few more... I knew he'd come around eventually although sometimes I must admit I had some doubts. I'm relieved that we can confidently continue to home school :0)
Titus is almost done with his multiplication math book (he's multiplying in the thousands now) and will be starting his next book in March (division with Math U See).
I'm not writing all this to brag at all but rather to keep track of it for the future as I'm not good at journaling besides through this blog. ;-)
